Me at work
Born in England, raised by grandparents in Amritsar, a city northern western Indian state of Punjab. My interest in art, as far as I can remember has always been from an early age. The style and palette of art has been shaped by the upbringing of my Sikh Indian heritage, and experiences of growing up in India. The childhood memories have made me fully embrace the traditions and culture which I try and reflect the importance of personal journeys in my paintings. I left India at the age of nine and moved to England, but unfortunately due to certain circumstances never had the opportunity to pursue art in a professional manner. As a self-taught artist, it has been a continuous development to better myself.
In my mid 30s, I moved to Denmark with my family, which opened up a whole new chapter in my life. Adjusting to a new life was very challenging at times but art became my saviour, and gave me a wider boost of creative freedom to explore my passion.
The long term goals are to expand the collection of paintings that I have accumulated over the years and hopefully one day to establish a well based art business.
Besides art, I enjoy yoga, music, reading and spending time with my family.
